Warranty Policy

SunStream provides a 12-month warranty for all products purchased from our store, guaranteeing that they are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.

Australian Consumer Law and Your Rights

Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes any guarantees, warranties, representations, or conditions implied or imposed by law, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (or any liability arising under it) which cannot be limited or excluded. If you are a “consumer” under the ACL, the following applies to you:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (“Consumer Guarantees”). You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty Coverage

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. To maintain warranty eligibility, products must be used under reasonable and normal environmental conditions.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect;
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications;
  • Damage resulting from alterations, tampering, or disassembly.

The warranty will be void if the product has been tampered with or damaged due to unauthorized intervention.

Replacement products or parts provided under this warranty may be new or refurbished and will be functionally equivalent to the original product. The warranty period for any replacement item continues from the original purchase date.

Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is defective and still within the warranty period, please contact us at [email protected] with the following information:

  • A clear description of the issue;
  • Photos of the defective product and its serial number (if applicable);
  • A short video demonstrating the issue (if applicable);
  • Your order or invoice number, the date of purchase and place of purchase;
  • Your full name, shipping address, email, and phone number.

We will respond to your claim promptly and work to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Expenses of Claiming

If the product is deemed faulty within 30 days of purchase, SunStream will cover the reasonable costs of making a claim under this policy.

For claims made after 30 days:

  • Customers are responsible for any expenses incurred when making a warranty claim, including but not limited to shipping costs for returning the product to SunStream Hydroponics.
  • SunStream will cover the cost of shipping the replacement product back to the customer.

If, following our assessment, the product is not found to be faulty, the customer will be responsible for:

  • All shipping costs, including both return and re-delivery;
  • Any applicable assessment or inspection fees.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product.

We are not liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including loss of profit, opportunity, or goodwill, unless such loss is reasonably foreseeable as a result of our failure to comply with applicable Consumer Guarantees.

Our total liability arising from the products, the services, or these Conditions of Sale, however arising, will not exceed the total price paid by you for the purchase of products and services under these Conditions of Sale.

This limitation does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection laws.
